Bundle Up Baby is a weather-aware clothing planning service for parents and legal guardians. This Privacy Policy explains how LakeSide Bunny Inc, the operator of Bundle Up Baby, collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when an adult account holder uses the mobile app, web companion, or related support services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect account information that an adult provides, including email address, display name, authentication details, adult age-verification information, settings, support messages, and service activity needed to operate the account.
An adult account holder may choose to create a child profile. Child-profile information can include a name or nickname, date of birth, size and comfort preferences, wardrobe details, optional clothing or milestone photos, optional growth measurements such as weight, length, or head circumference, percentiles supplied by an adult or clinician, legacy calculated percentiles retained from earlier app versions, saved recommendations, family access settings, and trip-planning details. We do not require a separate child location.
Location may be collected from a device or entered manually to provide local weather and trip planning. When a weather request is made, the weather provider receives the location data necessary to return a forecast. Photos are optional; the service is designed to remove unnecessary location metadata where supported before upload or storage.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to authenticate adult accounts, provide weather and clothing-planning features, synchronize wardrobes and preferences, support family access, operate optional trip, notification, community, marketplace, shopping, and support features, prevent abuse, investigate security issues, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Weather-aware recommendations are generated from information available to the service, such as forecast conditions, wardrobe details, and a selected context. They are general planning support and are not medical, childcare, or safety advice.
If an adult opts in to product improvement analytics, we collect limited technical events such as an app screen or feature category, an anonymous server-salted device and session identifier, platform, release version, and event time. We do not include names, email addresses, child-profile data, photos, messages, precise locations, raw page URLs, or error messages in these events. We use this information to understand aggregate feature use, diagnose reliability issues, and improve the service.
3. How Information Is Shared
We share information with service providers that help us operate the service, including authentication, database hosting, storage, weather, messaging, analytics, and support providers. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us and subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards. The current Android closed beta does not offer in-app purchases or collect payment information.
We do not sell personal information or child-related information and do not use child-related information for behavioral advertising. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the safety or rights of users or others, to prevent fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of the business.
Some shopping cards may contain affiliate links. Opening an affiliate link may send ordinary request data to an affiliate network or merchant. Bundle Up Baby does not place a child name, date of birth, photo, measurement, or precise location in the affiliate sub-identifier. The destination service's privacy policy applies after a user leaves Bundle Up Baby.
4. Children's Privacy
Bundle Up Baby is designed for adults age 18 or older and is not directed to children. An adult account holder controls the account and decides what child-related information to provide. We do not knowingly allow children to create an account or directly provide personal information to the service.
5. Retention and Security
We retain account and feature information while an account is active or as needed to provide the service. After an account-deletion request, we delete or de-identify associated information subject to limited legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, and backup obligations.
We use measures intended to protect information, including encrypted transport, authentication controls, row-level access rules, private storage controls, and secure device storage where supported. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Product events are retained for up to 400 days, privacy-minimized error signals for up to 180 days, and synthetic service-health checks for up to 730 days unless a longer period is required for security, legal, or incident-response purposes.
6. Choices and Rights
Adult account holders can review and update supported information, change permissions and notification preferences, remove optional photos, export supported account data, and request account deletion through Settings or support. Depending on location, additional privacy rights may apply, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing.
On the website, an adult can choose Essential only or allow optional product analytics in the privacy notice. In the mobile app, Product improvement analytics can be turned on or off from Settings. Declining optional product analytics does not remove core weather, wardrobe, trip, or account functionality.
7. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the service, law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice where required. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to privacy@bundleupbaby.com.
